North American art is composed of structures that related to astronomy and spiritual significance. The people during this time period used their surroundings to their benefit to form burial sites, homes, and sculptures. There were structures developed in North America to help sustain living quarters such as, irrigation systems. Pueblo Bonito was located in Chaco Canyon, New Mexico back in 800-1250CE and was an apartment composed of 800 rooms. This structure served as a shelter for individuals in the town and was a site for rituals.  North American cultures worked with mother nature to enhance their living style.
The Great Serpent Mound in Adams County, Ohio is dated back to 1070CE and it is suggested by researchers that the stones used to create the structures was composed based on Haley’s comet in 1066. A Spiritual significance that was developed in North America was the Beaver Effigy Platform Pipe other pipes were also created resembling other animals as well. The pipes made by the Hopewell people, used pearls for the eyes of the Beaver pipe and the natives believed that white was a spiritual significance. North American art was related to nature, space, and animals in the environment and it's art is based mainly on monuments that relate to astronomy.
